Moringa oleifera, often simply called moringa, is the most cultivated species of the monotypic family Moringaceae. Native to India and Sri Lanka, it is now acclimatized in almost all tropical regions: this small, fast-growing, drought-resistant melliferous tree can measure up to 10 metres. (Sources : wikipédia)
Also called "Miracle Tree" because of its richness in nutrients, Moringa is a superfood and its health benefits are well documented and scientifically proven. In Madagascar, Moringa is used to fight child malnutrition.
Why add Madagascar Moringa to your daily routine?
Moringa is packed with nutrients and brings many benefits:
Increases energy and vitality
Rich in minerals, antioxidants, and essential nutrients
Improves sleep and supports the immune system
Contributes to heart health
On the skin, it hydrates and fights aging

Everything is edible — and delicious!

In Madagascar, moringa is a daily ingredient. Locals use:
Leaves: eaten as greens in romazava (a traditional stew) or mixed in salads
Young pods: eaten raw with vinaigrette, or cooked like beans or asparagus
Seeds: green ones can replace peas, dried ones are roasted like peanuts
Impressive nutritional qualities
Moringa offers :
2x as much protein as milk,
3x more potassium than bananas,
4x more vitamin A than carrots,
7x more vitamin C than oranges
In addition, it is easy to digest, its fat content is more than 30%
100g of fresh leaves or 50g of fruit provide about half of the daily calcium, iron and protein requirements. They also provide a third of the daily requirement of potassium and essential amino acids for children aged 1 to 3 years.
Moringa’s medicinal uses
Moringa is widely used in traditional medicine:
Treats flu, coughs, fevers, rheumatism, asthma
Used as powder, tea, or poultice
As an ointment (mixed with beeswax), it promotes healing of wounds and abscesses
A natural water purifier
Moringa seeds produce a clear, sweet, odorless oil (22–38% yield), highly valued in the cosmetic industry. Studies also show potential use as biofuel for diesel engines.
